Spirit Led Creative began with a way of seeing. My sister-in-law once shared that she was moved by how I allowed myself to be led by the Spirit in my photography — in how I noticed light, detail, and meaning in ordinary moments. That encouragement gave language to something I had been living intuitively: a posture of attention, reverence, and trust.

That way of seeing became a way of creating.

Through personal seasons of health challenges and slowing down, I was drawn back to simplicity — to prayer, to the natural world, and to a deeper awareness of what I allowed into my home and onto my body. Spirit Led Creative grew from that return: an apothecary rooted in aromatherapy, botanical care, and thoughtful formulation, guided by restraint rather than excess.

Today, Spirit Led Creative is a Michigan-made aromatherapy and apothecary studio offering botanical face, hair, and body care, along with home fragrance as a supporting expression. Each product is crafted in small batches using pure essential oils, resins, and simple, nourishing ingredients — chosen with intention and respect for how the body and spirit are designed to work together.

Candles and wax melts are part of this offering, but they are not the beginning. They are one way aroma creates space — alongside facial oils, creams, hair treatments, bath soaks, and everyday rituals of care. Everything we make is designed to support rest, clarity, and gentle restoration without overwhelm.

Spirit Led Creative is not about trends, productivity, or perfection. It is about creating spaces — physical and spiritual — where people can pause, breathe, and remember they are held.

We exist to serve weary hearts through aromatherapy, botanical care, and quiet beauty, led by the Spirit and grounded in Creation.

Our Ingredient Philosophy: The 5-Minus / 7-Minus Approach

At the heart of Spirit Led Creative is a simple question we return to again and again:

Does every ingredient serve a purpose?

Our formulations follow what we call the 5-minus / 7-minus philosophy — a guiding framework that helps us choose restraint over excess.

  • 5 represents grace

  • 7 represents rest and completion

Rather than adding more, we intentionally remove what isn’t needed.

This means:

  • Fewer ingredients, chosen carefully

  • No unnecessary fillers or trend-driven additives

  • Essential oil blends considered as one intentional component

We don’t include ingredients “just because they smell good.”
