Spirit Led Creative began with a way of seeing.

Years ago, my sister-in-law shared that she was moved by how I allowed myself to be led by the Spirit in my photography. The way I noticed light, detail, and meaning in ordinary moments reflected a posture of attention, reverence, and trust.

That way of seeing became a way of creating.

What began through Spirit Led Photography has grown into formulation, writing, and devotional reflection. Each expression flows from the same foundation: follow the Spirit, honor Creation, and choose restraint over excess.

The Apothecary

Through personal seasons of health challenges and slowing down, I was drawn back to simplicity. Prayer. The natural world. A deeper awareness of what I allowed into my home and onto my body.

Spirit Led Creative’s apothecary offerings grew from that return.

Every product is handcrafted in small batches in Michigan using thoughtfully chosen botanicals, essential oils, and simple, purposeful ingredients. Candles and wax melts are one expression of this work, alongside facial oils, creams, beard care, hair treatments, bath rituals, and everyday skincare.

Each formula is created to support rest, clarity, and gentle restoration without overwhelming the senses.

Our Ingredient Philosophy

The 5-Minus / 7-Minus Approach

At the heart of Spirit Led Creative is a simple question:

Does every ingredient serve a purpose?

Our formulations follow what we call the 5-Minus / 7-Minus philosophy.

Five represents grace.
Seven represents rest and completion.

Rather than adding more, we intentionally remove what is unnecessary.

This means:

  • Fewer ingredients, chosen carefully

  • No filler or trend-driven additives

  • Essential oil blends considered as one intentional component

  • Formulations designed to support the body’s natural rhythm

Every botanical is selected for how it supports the area of application: skin, scalp, hair, hands, or atmosphere.

Aromatherapy here is about balance and support. It is meant to ground, clarify, and restore.
